The Director of Sponsor Alliances position offers an outstanding opportunity for a strategic media-and marketing-savvy sales/management professional to drive the success of a nationally respected organization, while working with engaged team-oriented colleagues.

 

As Sponsor Alliances Director, you'll play a key role on our Senior Management team by taking responsibility for strategic direction and oversight of our corporate sponsorship area, and by forging valuable partnerships with current and potential sponsors in a lean organization.

 

Specifics: Develop and implement sponsorship sales strategies and work plans, and identify opportunities for growth. Manage the Sponsor Alliances team, including hiring and training. Create and manage annual revenue goals and expense budgets. Support strong relationships with national sponsors by ensuring they experience maximum value and top-quality service. Coordinate with other PRI departments to integrate sponsorship strategies where appropriate. Collaborate on promotion, outreach and other activities designed to maximize sponsor value and satisfaction. Working closely with sponsors, their agencies and PRI producers, oversee on-air credit announcements, including positioning and rotations. Meet with prospective and current sponsors as required to develop and maintain strong relationships. Work with the president's office, the vice president of brand management & marketing strategy and other senior staff as needed to involve the Board of Directors in sponsor research and cultivation. Represent PRI in sponsorship related industry activities. Travel as required.

 

Qualifications

We seek a confident, outgoing professional with a bachelor's degree, 5+ years' experience in strategic sales management with strong budgeting capabilities, an understanding of online sales and a passion for public radio. Must be comfortable interacting with people at all levels and possess excellent communication skills as well as a strong understanding of business organizations, trends and strategies.
