This job requires full time hours, located in Long Beach, CA.  JOB SUMMARY Follows prescribed operational maintenance methods and procedures. Operates, repairs, and maintains company buildings, grounds, and roads. Maintains and services lock-and-key devices and systems. Performs carpentry, plumbing, electrical maintenance, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning building trades functions.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES 1.  Performs required repair, periodic checks, adjustments, and calibration of equipment and systems, and maintains company buildings, grounds, and roads in operating order using and interpreting blueprints, installation layouts, verbal and written instructions, and vendor-supplied manuals. 2.  Performs plumbing, mechanical, electrical, painting, carpentry, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning building trades work. 3.  Controls, maintains, and repairs company keys, locks, and security systems. 4.  Supports contractors in new construction or building modification projects as directed. 5.  Tests, checks out, and evaluates vendor-supplied building and grounds equipment, subsystems, and systems to determine suitability and overall effectiveness.  RequirementsEXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS 1.  Requires close hand/eye coordination, high manual dexterity, and mechanical aptitude, and simultaneous use of both hands. 2.  Must be able to operate and use heavy road equipment (if required), hand tools and instruments to perform a broad range of tasks, follow written and verbal instructions, and plan and track projects. 3.  Computer literacy and working knowledge of core software systems are helpful.  4. Two years of college or technical school; trade certification desirable. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 1.  Works in facility and outside environment and is exposed to dirt, heat, grit, sparks, noise, fumes, and dust. 2.Duties and responsibilities performed normally require special physical requirements including extensive standing and walking, bending over, crawling, kneeling, crouching, climbing, balancing, pushing, pulling, grasping, fine dexterity, and occasional lifting of material over 75 pounds. 3. Most Broadcast Center employees work on a shift basis, and as such will be required to periodically rotate shifts and regular days off.  All Broadcast Center employees must be willing to work overtime and holidays as required.   FACILITIES TECHNICIAN 2   a.  Works under general supervision, and uses and interprets blueprints.  b.  Performs the full range of journeyman building and grounds maintenance assignments.  c.  May provide technical assistance to lower-level personnel.  d.  Requires 10 years of on-the-job building trades experience.  ***This position requires a background check for felonies and misdemeanors and a drug screen*** About Ultimate Staffing Want to work with people who care about your personal and professional growth?
