CITY: New Jersey STATE: New JerseyCOUNTRY: USAEssential Functions (Responsibilities): Switching live news programming using Sony MVS 8000 switchers Building, recalling and saving effects in DME and the DVE-Excel Building, recalling and saving snapshots and files on the Sony MVS 8000 Recalling, playing and manipulating show graphics in the Pinnacle Thunder and Deko Understanding and utilizing the plant routers Operating the profile systems for recording clips and animation recallQualifications/Requirements: 5+ years technical directing experience switching live, fast-paced news, talk and or sports oriented programs. Experience on Sony MVS, Grass Valley 4000 and Calypso switchers Working knowledge of Pinnacle Thunder and DVE Excel Strong ability to multi-task, integrating considerable production elements during both live and tape shows, including live shots, graphics, video and cameras for air Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in high-pressure environment. Thorough knowledge of studio and control room operations Strong communication skills Proven ability to make priority decisions under extreme deadlines Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, early mornings, holidays, and overtime when necessary.Desired: Familiarity/experience w/ CNBC or NBC a plusGeneral:NBC Universal is one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies.
