Medical Journalist (Associate Editor)

Leading North Jersey health care publishing company seeks a talented medical journalist to join its editorial team. Major duties include writing and editing clinical news articles for a monthly medical news tabloid. Additional duties include gathering news leads, proofreading, reviewing proofreadersâ€™ changes, copyfitting and layout adjustments in InDesign, and occasional travel to cover conferences. Candidates must have an excellent command of English grammar and usage, a meticulous eye for detail, and solid journalistic instincts. A background in science is a plus. Must have the ability to work independently, have a strong sense of responsibility, and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
