Your tasks
Market and monetize current label priorities and world's greatest catalog of recorded music through internally controlled digital media platforms (websites, widgets, virals, social network profiles, WAP sites, etc.)
Create/maintain engaging web properties for CMG artists, promotions and labels intended to
-Market Commercial Music group artists, releases, and assets
-Combine content, commerce and community
-Build trusted relationships with fans
Oversee strategy, execution and content creation for all internally- controlled web sites, mobile offerings and other digital initiatives.
Support digital aspects of the Business Development Group (Strategic Marketing/Branded Entertainment; Custom Marketing; and Sync Licensing) by strengthening partner relationships through digital channels
Project manage and merchandise all web properties/projects
-Determine project scope and requirements and ensure execution of appropriate development contracts.
-Manage and coordinate production timelines for all stages of web and digital product development.
-Communicate updates on project timelines
-Submit/track tickets with online creative group, IT and Global Digital Business Group
-Submit/track tickets with encoding group
-Post news, bios, photos, tour info, and other timely info to various web properties; Develop content tools to enable artists and managers to maintain and syndicate content including news, tours, blogs, and galleries.
-Maintain quality control/quality assurance of all posted information
Devise/create new revenue streams via new and existing web properties
Develop compelling digital media marketing strategies which effectively reach specific target markets, increase awareness, and sell physical/digital/mobile goods
-Develop relevant viral marketing tools to promote specific priority releases
Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with brand and new tech partners; Continually build and manage business relationships to further Sony BMG's (digital) business
-Help expand the company's reach to new interactive platforms including next generation mobile, video games, interactive television, home networking devices, etc.
Liaise with a variety of internal stakeholders, most notably, marketing and artist managers
-Develop and maintain relationships with artist managers.
-Evaluate and respond to requests for site updates and new functionality, manage expectations, and implement cost-effective solutions
-Formulate strategic ideas for new cool, (strategic,) and engaging content for all web properties
Write informative, snappy, current web copy for use on all web properties
Plan and manage D2C sales campaigns through artist sites, label sites and brand partners
Evaluate and implement new technology and product innovations.
Aid overall business with decision support
-Provide statistics on web initiatives, evaluate results, Combine content, commerce and community
- and provide tactical recommendations
- Develop and implement other tools to gather intelligence, including web surveys and polls
-Conduct data mining as needed in order to provide consumer intelligence
Implement affiliate programs (internal & external)
Lead and educate the team in the development and use of emerging technologies
Ensure adherence to established company standards and guidelines where applicable


Our requirements
Experience working in new media, community, and entertainment
Proven track record launching highly trafficked and award-winning sites
Thorough understanding of digital music technology, the online music environment, digital music sites and mobile carriers.
Thorough knowledge of HTML, CSS, RSS, Drupal, Photoshop and MS Office Suite is required. (Prior database experience a plus.)
Skill in ecommerce, Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing/Online Advertising and Social Networking
Ability to delegate tasks and lead a team.
Ability to balance the demands of the business with the changing production timelines to deliver a successful offering on time and within budget.
Positive attitude, an eagerness to learn and a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment while juggling multiple tasks and priorities.
Strong interpersonal and communications (both written and oral) skills; Candidate will need to be comfortable leading client presentations and interacting with high profile clients.
Must be highly organized and capable of developing and keeping to a project timeline.
5-7 years prior experience as an interactive media producer or web project manager required.
Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred.
