Accounting Manager/Assistant Finance Director – FSN Northwest

 

This position is responsible for G/L maintenance, accounting, and transaction processing along with assisting in financial reporting and budgeting. Assist Controller with various activities including establishing policies and procedures, improve processes and support, and perform additional regional reporting.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  Lead and perform month end close Review monthly account reconciliations Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget Prepare presentations and respond to inquiries from management at all levels Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting Ensure compliance with local, state and federal budgetary reporting requirements Work with department managers to develop business plans for the company Assist with the establishment of accounting policies and procedures Assist Controller with day to day management of the accounting and finance team Other tasks & duties as assigned

 

 

Required Skills:

  Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with at least 3 years in an industry position Knowledge of finance accounting, budgeting and cost control principals including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.  Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.  Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product line profitability analysis Strong business acumen, along with excellent project management, communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills. Prior experience with a tier 1 or 2 accounting systems Highly detailed with a desire to dig deeper into issues

 

Desired skills:

  CPA designation is strongly preferred Prior experience in a media or cable environment
