Job Description Western Regional Sales Manager, Fire and Preparedness Position Summary: The candidate will be responsible for managing the day to day selling strategies and activities of approximately 15 sales professionals in the National Fire & Preparedness market. This includes pre call planning, account management, sales rep training, performance management, regional sales plan development, new product launch planning, supplier management, budgeting, & developing customer relationships within the federal, state/local government and municipal officials in the First Responder and Healthcare areas. The candidate will work closely with the National Fire & Preparedness Industry Directors to set the overall growth strategy to expand our customer base and increase our customer share of wallet. The candidate will then be responsible for driving this growth strategy through deploying the sales resources needed to implement the plan. The candidate is also responsible for periodic forecast and revenue pipeline updates and reports with frequent communication and coordination with various departments in the Pittsburgh Safety Market Division office. Other duties include performance management of your team, and responding to customer RFPs and contract management. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 5+ years of sales experience is required. Experience in the distribution industry of first responder, law enforcement, and/or healthcare is strongly preferred. Military experience or training will be beneficial. The position will require about 50% - 70% overnight travel.
