Vice-President, Global Corneal Sales - Santa Ana, CA The Vice-President, Global Corneal Sales will be responsible for leadership of the global sales team for the $250M division of Advanced Medical Optics (AMO). This individual will be charged with the development and execution of a commercialization strategy encompassing direct and distributor sales across four regions encompassing ECP (professional) and retail distribution/customers Included in this individual's responsibilities will be evaluation, organization, and enhancing the global sales force to effectiviely gain share in a growing a competitive evironment of existing products and having the capability to sell a broader line of products to ECP's involving a more consultative approach. The desired candidate will have experience in structuring and evaluating sales force effectiveness, and putting new programs in place that enhance sales force productivity. This would include: upgrading sales execution in conjunction with the training departiment, managing turnover, development of sales compensation programs, ensuring high caliber divisional management, managerial development, and adoption and attainment of regional and global business objectives This individual will operate as senior member of the Corneal management team and will serve as a resource on matters regarding product viability and new product launches. This individual will also collaborate with the other SBU sales leadership in conjunction with the CRS initiative. Corneal sales & promotional efforts must encourage ECP's to refer patients into refractive surgical correction options. Structure and evaluate sales force effectiveness, develop new programs that enhance sales force productivity Lead sales team for the Corneal division globally Develop and execute a commercialization strategy encompassing direct sales (to retail and professional professional customers), distribution, related customer service as well as third party distribution. Evaluate and enhance the sales force and leadership to effectiviely gain share in a growing a competitive evironment. Participates in the market planning and forecasting of all Corneal products. Ensures execution of established Global Marketing plan. Directs field sales toward new innovative selling strategies and approaches such as consultative, value-added selling Minimum Bachelors degree, MBA strongly preferred Minimum 5-8 years managing a large (100+), successful Professional sales and sales force Management in in the Medical Device, RX or OTC industry required. Minimum 10-15 years overall in sales and marketing Global experiece required Prior experience in building and maintaining a management structure Ability to travel Internationally approximately 40% Advanced Medical Optics offers a competitive salary and generous benefits package.
