Veterinarian

Lampire Biological Laboratories, Inc. is searching for a Veterinarian to oversee our 400-acre AAALAC accredited farm in Everett, PA.

Expertise in large domestic farm and laboratory animal medicine, and a working knowledge of regulatory requirements for the care and use of animals in research required.

Major responsibilities include:Provision of clinical careDirection of technical staffProtocol review and facility operationsRequires a strong working knowledge of large domestic farm and laboratory animal medicine, and the ability to work with a wide spectrum of individuals in a number of capacitiesWorking knowledge of a farm operation including haymaking, field crops, pasture maintenance, a plus.

Qualifications include:Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree, i.e.,
Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), obtained at a school or college of veterinary medicine accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association Council on Education (AVMA). Candidates must have successfully completed National Veterinary Board certificationBe licensed to practice veterinary medicine in at least one state and have one year of progressively responsible professional veterinary experience. ACLAM certified a plus.
