Triple Quad Mass Spec (LC_MS) Field Service Engineer-San Diego

My client is focused in the Life Science and Analytical Instrumentation Industries. Combining operational excellence and technology expertise with an intimate understanding of its customers' needs, this company provides products and services in the Health Sciences market that require innovation, precision and reliability. It is a leading provider of scientific instruments, consumables and services to the pharmaceutical, biomedical, environmental testing and general industrial markets.

Position Description:

Ø Installs, repairs, and maintains a complete line of Mass Spec instruments within the pharmaceutical, governmental and biotechnical industries

Ø Provides scheduled preventative maintenance calls at customer sites within prescribed time frame and established performance standards.

Ø Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to the Installation, Warranty, and Service Contract provisions to provide adequate billing information to the customer

Ø Drives the sale of new maintenance contracts, maintenance agreement upgrades and instrument add-ons to existing contracts

Ø Position will be based in San Diego or surrounding areas.

 

Qualifications:

Ø BS in Chemistry or Life Science is preferred, but an AA in Electronics with past experience in servicing and installing Mass Specs may be substituted.

Ø Previous field service experience in the life science or analytical instrumentation industries is required.

Ø Experience in servicing LC/MS (Micromass, Thermo, ABI, Sciex, Agilent etc…) would be beneficial.

Ø This position requires 25-50% travel…mostly local to the area.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

Total compensation will be commensurate with the experience, but should be expected to fall within $90,000-105,000.
