Tibotec Therapeutics Division of Ortho Biotech Products, L.P. - Dedicated to delivering innovative virology therapeutics that help health care professionals address serious unmet needs in people living with HIV. The Tibotec Therapeutics Compliance Officer is primarily responsible for the implementation of programs designed to ensure compliance with health care fraud and abuse laws, advertising and promotion laws and privacy laws governing the company's commercial and scientific activities. This key position assures the alignment of the company's compliance activities within the overall sector HCC program, reinforces the message that compliance is a company priority and has broad access to the resources needed to assure implementation of an effective compliance program. HCC group will administer policy communications, training, transactions testing and monitoring of commercial pharmaceutical activities that are subject to US federal and state laws that regulate the marketing and promotion of reimbursable health care products. Primary activities include: Provides HCC leadership to the entire Tibotec Therapeutics organization with primary focus on the sales, marketing, sales training, clinical, professional affairs and communications departments / functions. Provides HCC leadership to the other functions / departments within the virology franchise.. Ensures the compliance program effectively prevents and/or detects violations of law, regulations, policies, or the Code of Conduct, and if necessary implements appropriate corrective action. Builds partnerships with HCC professionals in other Pharmaceuticals Group companies to ensure standardization and consistency in decision-making. Regularly reviews the Compliance Program in Tibotec Therapeutics and recommends appropriate revisions and modifications. Advises the BIO Compliance Officer of potential compliance risk areas and recommends and implements appropriate action plans. Coordinates resources across their team to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of the compliance program. Is responsible for implementing internal controls so that it is capable of preventing and detecting significant instances or patterns of fraud and abuse. Participates in and leads HCC investigations, as appropriate. Ensures a strong and effective relationship with the Board Attorney and Regulatory Advertising and Promotion personnel assigned to Tibotec Therapeutics and includes them in all key investigations and decisions. Principal relationships inside the companies include: represents compliance on the company specific management board. Manage contact with individual employees and all levels of management, peers at other J&&J companies, Sales and Marketing, scientific functions, Finance, Corporate Internal Audit, the WWOHCC and the Law Department. Principal relationships outside the companies include: Interact with attorneys in the J&&J Law Department, attorney on the company board, peer HCC heads at other J&&J companies. Interact as appropriate with customers and other HCC professionals at customer organizations and with federal and state agency and government officials as needed. A BA or BS is required. Masters in related field, advanced degree desirable. Requires at least 10 years of business experience including management and supervisory responsibilities. 2 plus years experience and demonstrated leadership in compliance is required. A proven track record of sustaining compliance in complex organizations is required. Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of a compliance surveillance program in accordance with the organization's risk profile is highly desirable. Requires knowledge and the ability to apply HCC/fraud and abuse laws; FDA regulatory promotional practices; HIPAA and privacy laws, financial or auditing practices and company business and policies. Sales and marketing management and Scientific Affairs experience a plus. Exceptional written and verbal communications skills are essential.
