Technical Support Scientist
Position Purpose
Provide technical support to scientific customers on all Mirus products, including transfection reagents, labeling kits, and in vivo delivery products.Duties & Responsibilities
Essential Duties: Answer customer questions via email and phone (both domestic and international). Establish, implement and maintain protocols for customer complaint reporting and monitoring. Establish, implement and maintain protocols, schedules and training for the tech support team. Maintain print and electronic databases of technical information, e.g. literature citations and customer developed protocols. Serve as a member of the Web Team to help bring a balance of scientific and customer input to development of web resources. Develop and/or edit product protocols, technical literature, marketing and sales tools – both print and electronic. Review, process and follow up on product samples.
Other Duties: Attend product tradeshows as assigned by the Marketing Manager. Skill Sets
Essential Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent problem-solving skills. Knowledge of basic cellular and molecular biology techniques. Must be able to work both independently and within a team. Working capability with Microsoft Office, web and ability to learn new computer systems.
Preferred Skills: Working knowledge of Mirus Bio products. Experience requiring direct customer contact (eg. technical support, technical marketing or sales).

BS/MS in molecular biology, biochemistry or related field. A minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience. Customer support or technical support skills preferred.
Physical Demands: Most of workday is spent at a computer and on the phone. Some travel is required.
Work Environment: No unusual work environment stressors.
