Tax Attorney - Call 408-392-0506Description: Our client is a leading high-tech organization here in the Silicon Valley seeking an experienced Tax Attorney for their Tax Planning and Advisory group. Key responsibilities: • Advise global businesses with respect to the US tax consequences of international transactions and business operations, including the acquisition and integration of both US and non-US companies• Research, recommend and implement international business plans and projects in a manner that minimizes domestic and international tax liability and/or effective tax rate• Work closely with the treasury department on global cash management• Provide technical tax support for domestic and international tax audit and compliance issues• Keep abreast of US and global international tax legislation, developments and practices Requirements: • Strong communication skills and the ability to provide senior management with actionable advice with respect to complex tax issues• Ability to think strategically and to proactively identify, research, and resolve tax issues• Significant experience and expertise relating to Subpart F, dividend/repatriations and foreign tax credits• Solid project management skills and ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects• Ability to successfully work with other corporate functions in the implementation of international business plans and projectsThe appropriate candidate will have a JD degree or equivalent and be licensed to practice law. Minimum 5-7 years experience, preferably with a mix of both international tax and M&A experience.
