DePuy, Inc. - Develops and markets products under DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc., DePuy Spine, Inc., Codman && Shurtleff, Inc. and DePuy Mitek. Among these are products for reconstructing damaged or diseased joints; repairing and reconstructing traumatic skeletal injuries; facilitating the treatment of spinal disorders and deformity; surgical treatment of neurological and central nervous system disorders, and sports medicine devices for the treatment of soft tissue injuries. DePuy has three main locations: Warsaw IN, Raynham Ma and Leeds, UK. DePuy is one of the largest businesses within Johnson && Johnson. The Tax Accountant under limited supervision will be responsible for the preparation of both federal and state income tax packages; preparation of individual and unitary state income tax returns; along with required estimated tax payments. Principle Duties include, preparation of forecasted and actual tax provision calculations. Preparation of all corporate reporting exhibits (both forecast cycle and current year actual) The Accountant analyzes all deferred income tax B/S accounts (monthly) and allocates federal and state income tax among management reporting entities. Additionally the incumbent assists in federal audit questionnaires, special projects as requested by Tax Manager and maintains daily contact with finance, accounting, corporate and human resources. There is periodic contact with outside advisors and dealing with confidential financial matters. Bachelors degree is required, a degree in Accounting is preferred. Certified Public Accountant preferred but not required. MST preferred. A minimum of 2 years of corporate tax experience is required. Previous exposure in corporate federal and state taxation accounting is required. FAS 109 Experience is strongly preferred. Audit Preparation Background is required. Calculating Effective Tax Rate (ETR) reconciliations is a plus. Previous experience in GAAP Application is required. International Tax, Sales Tax return Preparation, Tax Planning are preferred. Technical Tax Research and Resolution is a plus.
