TAX COMPLIANCE ANALYST

Talecris Biotherapeutics has an opportunity at our RTP, NC facility for an:TAX COMPLIANCE ANALYST Candidate will undertake preparation of federal, state and local income and franchise tax returns; state and local sales, use and property tax returns; and quarterly estimated tax payments for federal, state and (if necessary), county and city tax returns. Additional responsibilities include maintenance of Tax Compliance Calendar and Tax Filing System for all legal entities within the organization, preparation of U.S. information reports (Forms 5471/5472) with respect to Controlled Foreign Corporations, maintenance of information reporting system (Forms 1099-Misc) Assist Tax Compliance Manager in preparation of current and deferred tax provisions and reconciliation of tax return to book accrual for taxes. The candidate will also interface with Corporate Legal Staff to ensure compliance with all Secretary of State offices in which the Company has registered; manage and maintain all business licenses and compliance with all annual report/registration requirements; assist in the preparation of responses to federal, state and local tax authorities; and assist with special tax projects, including tax research on tax planning initiatives, transfer pricing analysis, recommendations on filing positions and tax reserves, etc.; and interface with internal groups within Finance and Treasury with respect to the tax treatment of business transactions. Candidate should have an undergraduate degree In Accounting or Finance. A CPA or a masters degree in Taxation is a plus, as is 2-6 years' experience in taxes (principally, income taxes) in a Big Four accounting firm or a large corporate tax environment.
