Execute strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the company receives the highest levels of quality and service from our supplier base while minimizing the costs of inventory, storage, transportation, and obsolescence risk. Execute strategies to manage the implications of an item’s position in its product life cycle, from successful launch to disposition of finished goods and raw and packaging materials.Job DescriptionFunction Specific Activities:Maintain product, packaging and material inventory/availability usingdemand forecasts, historical orders and software tools in order tosupport the operations plans and customer demand.Analyze and evaluate upstream processes to secure materials in orderto reduce costs to the KO system.Synthesize data and identify problems through operational andfinancial analysis in order to improve operational and financialperformance.Manage raw material quality from planting through processing in orderto ensure both the raw materials and finished product meet customerspecifications.Maintain inventory levels and/or inventory level data using physicalcounts, supplier reports, material usage reports and software tools inorder to prepare for anticipated demand and/or appropriately recommendcost-reducing inventory level actions to management.Perform data transactions for inventory control items by usingfacility information systems to ensure product, ingredient and materialtraceability.Provide direct reports with leadership, direction, and coaching toachieve work objectives and improve performance and skills.Monitor relationships with vendors or suppliers in order to ensureproper capabilities, conformance with Company standards and appropriateproducts and services.Extract, analyze and report mainframe/system data in order to improvesupply chain efficiencies using Company sponsored software (e.g.,Showcase, DBS, SAP, JD Edwards, Excel, Access).Coordinate suppliers, concentrate plant, production, R&D and productcommercialization using technology (e.g., e-mails, fax,teleconferences) and key business contacts in order to execute newproduct launches.Education:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experienceRelated Work Experience:At least 3 yearsCore Competencies:Drives Innovative Business Improvements: Develops new insights into solutionsthat result in organizational improvements; promotes a work environment thatfosters creative thinking, innovation and rational risk-taking.Balances Immediate and Long-Term Priorities: Seeks to meet critical objectiveswhile considering the impact of those decisions and activities on the abilityto achieve long-term goals.Delivers Results: Focuses on the critical few objectives that add the mostvalue and channels own and others' energy to consistently deliver results thatmeet or exceed expectations.Imports and Exports Good Ideas: Relentlessly seeks, shares and adopts ideasand best practices in and outside the Company and embraces change introduced byothers.Develops and Inspires Others: Builds and maintains relationships thatmotivate, guide, and/or reinforce the performance of others toward goalaccomplishments.
