Staff Accountant
DPT Laboratories is a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) specializing in semi-solid and liquid dosage forms. Our corporate company, DFB Pharmaceuticals, currently has a Staff Accountant position available in our San Antonio, TX location.
Assist in corporate financial/operating reporting, general ledger/maintenance, account reconciliation, fixed assets, taxes, payroll journal entries and reporting, compilation/analysis of data, support of annual audits of financial statements including benefit plans
Accountabilities:G/L account posting/reconciliationsBack-up for Treasury/Cash reporting - transactions (check processing/check clearing, etc., monthly bank reconciliations, research, cash reports)Benefit analysis, workers compensation accrual analysis, self-insurance reserve analysis, etc.Fixed asset database maintenance; capital budget/appropriation request managementPayroll entry into general ledgerPreparation of monthly and quarterly financial reportsAssist with annual audits of financial statements including benefit plansAbility to work with an integrated ERP software package understanding transaction from entry point through exit pointMonth-end journal entries; DFB Operating department account analysis; A/R and A/P aging review and reconciliation with info provided to operating companiesOther duties as determined by the Corporate Accounting Manager
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university is required. Minimum three years of related experience is required. Should have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Word. Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Crystal reports, Monarch is preferred. CPA is a plus. Ability to work in a team environment dealing with all levels (from clerks to Presidents)Ability to work with various business operations (manufacturing/distribution/research & development)
