Conor Medsystems, LLC, is a developer of innovative controlled vascular drug delivery technologies. Conor has initially focused on the development of drug-eluting stents to treat coronary artery disease. This candidate will work under minimal supervision, and work on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required to solve problems and make recommendations. Candidates' will provide guidance, training and direction to less seasoned employees. This position applies nonstandard electrical, mechanical, developmental, electromechanical, and optical and test technician duties in such areas as manufacturing, maintenance, quality, testing, and engineering, where considerable judgment is required. This candidate will construct, inspect, calibrate, adjust, test, document, and maintain equipment, components, devices and systems. The primary responsibility for this position will be the developing and testing balloon catheters. This position requires the minimum of a High School Diploma and at least 10 years of experience as a technician. This candidate provides guidance, training and direction to an assigned group of employees/team. In addition this candidate provides input to Supervisor/Manager/Engineer regarding Employee Relations issues. This candidate will troubleshoots electrical, test, mechanical, facilities or hydraulic systems, components, and equipment. This candidate also ensures tools and test equipment are properly calibrated and repaired according to standard operating procedures. Ideally this candidate often works with high level of self-motivation from little or no documentation, instruction or guidance. This candidate may determine methods and procedures on new assignments, and make recommendations to Supervisor/Manager/Engineer on improving quality, efficiency, and cost of company product(s), and processes and/or productivity techniques. This position requires analytical and interpretative capabilities that apply an in-depth knowledge and thorough practical understanding of component/test level issues with comprehensive knowledge in applicable discipline. This candidate may apply nonstandard test techniques where normal procedures do not fulfill testing needs. This candidate will also ensures all documentation is recorded properly and follows corporate standard operating procedures, when applicable. This candidate will write and/or reviews complex technical reports, develops charts, graphs, schematics, and drawings to describe and illustrate machine, test, and component characteristics. In addition the candidate must have completed all appropriate safety and environmental hazard training, and will be responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance. Candidates must have the ability to use sophisticated test and measurement equipment associated with specific discipline, and must be able to read and understand technical documentation associated with specific discipline. The ability to use PC's and associated software is also required. Candidate must have the ability to read, write, communicate and understand English. Must have successfully completed company/department training courses in manufacturing techniques. Candidates must also have a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements (GMP). Candidates with experience in the medical device industry are desirable.
