Sr Software Verification Engineer Requisition Number 63259 Position Description Provide leadership for, and perform, engineering work developing new, and updating existing, software verification tests for product development, and design change projects, relating to Class III medical devices and related accessories to ensure compliance with all defined product requirements meeting customer needs as well as FDA and international standards. Work includes development and documentation of verification plans, protocols, and documentation of verification results in reports. The position involves working with other verification engineers, project management, systems engineers, clinicians, software engineers and electrical engineers in a team environment to meet business and quality objectives. Position Responsibilities  Participate in specification reviews  Prepare and document software system verification plans  Coordinate with design and test engineers to define, develop and document detailed software test protocols to verify product requirements and product behavior  Participate in and direct protocol development and execution activities with physically distributed staff by way of email, phone, and internet based communication  Participate in system design, code and protocol reviews  Work with design and test engineers to resolve both product and test issues identified through the verification process  Prepare and document verification test reports  Other related duties as required Basic Qualifications  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline  5 years of test or verification experience in a product development environment  Demonstrated experience using programming language to develop automated protocols Desired/Preferred Qualifications * Experience writing manual and automated test protocols based on provided requirements * Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills * Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities * Knowledge of design and project management methodologies * Familiarity with 21 CFR 820 and medical device performance standards (AAMI and IEC) as well as ISO 62304 is preferred * Experience with test equipment such as o-scopes, bus analyzers and function generators *Experience with C or C++ and Perl Physical Job Requirements * Both Office and Lab environments, extended hours as needed   To Apply: Click Apply Now to route your resume directly to the hiring department.
