Neutrogena Corporation develops, manufactures and markets premium skin and hair care products sold worldwide and recommended by medical professionals. The product line includes bar and liquid cleansers, shampoo, hand cream, body lotion, facial moisturizers, sun protection and cosmetics, as well as other hair and skin care products recommended, used and prescribed by dermatologists. As a Sr. Scientist you will have opportunities to gain experience working in Specialist Groups and as a Business Partner. In a Specialist role, you will work with subject matter experts to provide consulting and design support to the J&&J businesses on an enterprise, global and/or regional level. As a Business Partner, you will be accountable to the J&&J businesses in diagnosing needs and delivering technical solutions. You will gain experience in the areas of product formulation, and various other areas requiring research and development expertise. This position will require a PhD degree in Chemistry, or related concentration. Candidates with a PhD in Organic Chemistry are preferred. Candidates must possess exceptional communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills. Candidates must possess the ability to thrive in a changing and complex environment. Demonstrated leadership ability, business acumen, and strong analytic problem-solving skills is required. Demonstrated ability to set priorities and manage a variety of tasks are also required. Candidates must have permanent work authorization in the US. This position will require 10% travel and will be based in Los Angeles, Ca.
