Position Summary:
Sr. Project Scientist: position available for candidate with M.S. + 5 years experience or PhD. PhD + 2 years, or comparable with degree in Biology, Mathematics/Bio-informatics, Health/Biomedical, or related fields preferred. 1+ years Clinical experience in industry/cosmetics or related research environment preferred. Responsibilities include new methods development, coordination across multidisciplinary teams to understand interaction of products with the skin under a variety of test protocols, and supervision of external research grants as appropriate to investigate anti-aging skin care technologies. This position requires multidisciplinary academic training, including Biology, Mathematics/Bio-informatics, Health/Biomedical, or related fields and statistical training. 1+ years Clinical experience in industry/cosmetics or related research environment preferred. The successful candidate will have a strong background in data collection and technical interpretation, experimental design, technical problem solving skills and excellent technical writing skills.
Responsibilities:Lead strategic planning, design, coordination and execution of studies to understand clinical benefits of anti-aging technologies, as well as mentoring other clinical staff. Develop understanding of intrinsic aging vs. photoaging through independent research and review of the literature. Develop understanding of ethnic differences to skin under various environmental conditions. Implement strategy by designing and conducting research with the most appropriate methodology and data analysis techniques.Manage/oversee all study aspects: experimental design, execution, statistical analysis and reporting of results. Outsource, coordinate and monitor external research as determined by project objectives. Collaborate with leading academics and professionals to continually adopt and make contributions to new perception and consumer research methodologies.
Skills:
Successful candidate should have excellent background in experimental design, protocol development, and development of SOPs for best clinical practice in research.
The candidate should also be familiar with analysis of clinical data using conventional techniques. Understanding of exploratory and multivariate approaches and data modeling preferred.
Education:
· M.S. or Ph.D
