Sr Network Security Engineer

Our client has an immediate opening for a Sr Security Network Engineer.  Duties: Plans, develops, installs, configures, maintains, supports, and optimizes all hardware, and software supporting the security of the organization's computerized local and wide area networks. This person will also analyze and resolve related incidents or problems in a timely and accurate manner. Acts as primary organizational interface with vendor and provides internal analysis and support. Manages performance at the most complex level. Requirements Skills: • Network hardware, software and configuration management knowledge, including, but not limited to: CISCO networking equipment, Firewalls, VPNs, MPLS technology and virus/threat/intrusion protection systems. • Expert knowledge of network architecture design principles, practices, implementation, and LAN / WAN maintenance. • Expert knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, routing, subnets, services management, DNS, and VPN • Experience with a variety of switching, router, firewall, and network equipment. • Strong working knowledge of WAN & LAN Technologies (ATM, MPLS, Frame Relay, ISDN, IPSec VPN) • Network & Routing Protocols (TCP/IP, Net BIOS, Ethernet, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, HSRP, QOS) • Network security best practices. • Experience with monitoring tools such as Cisco works, Solar winds, etc • An attitude and performance record consistent with the spirit of the Company’s Compliance Program, Code of Conduct and compliance-related policies, standards and procedures. • Working knowledge of DNS, Internet Infrastructure, and IP informational tools • In-depth installation and configuration knowledge of server platform systems and peripherals. Education/Experience: • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in computer science, management information systems or related field or equivalent experience • Five to ten years of experience in Information Technology industry, including two to five years of experience in an Information Technology consulting or senior role.
