Sr Instrument Mfg Engineer

We are growing and recognize that talented and motivated people working together is the key to our success and growth. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Instrument Manufacturing Engineer.
Job Summary: In this technical position you will design and support the manufacturing processes to meet or exceed established production goals and cost objectives in accordance with quality and regulatory requirements. You will support the product line from the supply of materials and initial production through the reliable operation at the end customer’s site. Specifically, you will design and develop manufacturing processes for current and new products, product changes and enhancements, as well as related tooling, fixturing and testing. You will support validation of new and revised product, equipment and processes. You will analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. You will confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of qualified materials as well as assist in the development of specs, processes and equipment to evaluate products and materials according to specifications and quality standards.
Requirements: Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing (or related) with technical Master’s degree preferred. 10 years of increasingly responsible experience in manufacturing of durable medical electronic equipment in an FDA regulated industry. Recent hands-on experience with (in-house and contract) manufacturing medical instrumentation, including PCB fab and assembly, injection molding, optics, mechanical components, precision mechanical assembly and both component level and final assembly level testing. Some experience in fluid dynamics, handling blood and BBP, and reagent manufacturing and test a strong plus.
