Research and development areas encompass novel targets in neurologic disorders, metabolic disorders, inflammation disorders and pain. The successful candidate will establish, implement and maintain site infrastructure improvement and replacement plans. They will also provide technical support and trouble shooting of complex building infrastructure, engineering solutions and delivery of facility capital projects to meet the needs of the facility and enable the success of R&&D customers. In addition, Accountable for establishing and continuously tracking the cost and operational performance metrics of all facility infrastructure equipment. Use 'best in class' metrics to identify && drive improvements.They will also provide technical expertise && leadership to facility maintenance personnel and contractors and be accountable for operational utility expense budget, managing cost reduction && efficiency strategies.They will also manage a portfolio of projects including the programming, engineering, design, construction, commissioning, and qualification of laboratories, facilities and infrastructure and ensure safety, financial, schedule and business objectives are met or exceeded. Qualified candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferred. In addition, the should have a minimum of 5 years of related facility engineering or project management in a pharmaceutical R&&D environment. Experience should include design, commissioning, documentation, maintenance, change control, and performance benchmarking of facility systems, including HVAC, cogeneration, steam (clean and plant), process utilities, energy, and building automation. This individual should be a self-starter with strong interpersonal, organizational and technical skills, with the capability to work both independently and in a team environment at all levels of the organization.
