Sr. Business Systems Analyst III - SAP Architecture
Job Description:
**This is a full time role with an end user client in the Philadelphia region. This role requires less than 10% travelThe Sr. Business Systems Analyst III-SAP Architecture (SAP SME) will be responsible for providing a broad range of SAP consulting services targeted at delivering increased value through optimization of business processes, increased synergies in the use of SAP within Client, and for increased efficiencies of project implementations. The incumbent will propose innovative and best practice solutions that accelerate delivery of cost-effective implementation of SAP solutions at Client, within a single Client business/function as well as across the enterprise, including emerging markets. The incumbent may also serve as the overall Project Manager for approved SAP projects, with accountability for delivering effective collaboration across the Client organization and delivering projects on-time and in-full (OTIF).
The principal responsibilities of this position include:
* Leveraging business process subject matter expertise and innovative and best practice approaches that accelerate delivery of cost-effective implementations of SAP solutions at Client.
* Program/project management of approved SAP initiatives within Client, including integrated program/project planning, leading Steering Committee program/project reviews, issue/risk management and change management
* Significant contribution to the delivery of a SAP Project Sourcing strategy
* Significant collaboration with IS Business Partners to successfully plan and deliver the SAP project.
* Significant collaboration with the SLCM Team to deliver effective post-implementation support needs of approved projects.
* Maintaining project level compliancy against associated internal and external regulations and controls.
Competencies for this position include:
* Wide breadth of SAP functional product experience, including but not limited to (R/3, BW, SRM, HR, MDM, etc.) solutions.
* SME in as many of the following business process areas used within pharmaceutical / biotech industry as possible: Plan to Make, Record to Report, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and Hire to Retire.
* Strong commercial experience focused on the selection and management of key service and solution partners/providers
* Demonstrated success in managing large SAP projects that can span the enterprise and ability to deliver within budgets.
* Familiarization with Business Intelligence and Reporting tools and portal technologies.
* Strong understanding of computer systems validation and Sarbanes-Oxley control requirements.

Responsibilities
Program/project management of approved SAP initiatives within Client. (25%)
Significant collaboration with IS Business Partners to successfully plan and deliver the SAP needs of Business Partner approved projects within approved budgets (20%)
Deliver thought leadership on leveraging current and emerging solutions aimed at delivering high value at the business, shared service, local geography, and/or global levels. (30%)
Commitment to Client*s validation and SOX controls. (10%)
Contribute to the strategic thinking on how to deliver maximum business value and deliver highly cost effective services across Client*s enterprise applications and global organization model. Deliver assigned actions. (15%)
Education & Experience Requirements
Minimum 10 years IS experience within industry or service/consulting sectors with at least 5 of these years in a Manager/Senior manager role, preferably in a highly matrixed organization.
Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in leading SAP projects/initiatives, ideally within a fast moving pharmaceutical or biotechnology company.
A Bachelor*s degree is required in Information Technology or related field. A Master*s degree is preferred.
Strong Knowledge of SAP Implementation methodology within a regulated industry.
