With a deep and broad pipeline of potential new medicines, we continue to advance science to serve patients.As a Senior Associate Scientist in the Pharmacokinetic and Drug Metabolism department, you will participate in the discovery and development of novel drug candidates, focusing on generation of bioanalytical data for assessing drug pharmacokinetic parameters. The position's primary responsibilities include method development, validation, implementation and application of LC-MS bioanalytical methods, and the review, analysis and scientific interpretation of results generated. Employees will routinely collaborate with scientists within PKDM and other departments, and may also participate in key teams. The candidate will plan their own work, ensure appropriate resources are available and provide regular updates to their supervisor and team members, maintaining documentation to a high standard. Duties will also include method troubleshooting, and the development of methods for both high-throughput discovery support and early development studies.B.S or M.S. in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or Biochemistry required. 4+ years industrial scientific experience in bioanalytical support utilizing hyphenated mass spectrometric techniques (LC-MS/MS), biological sample preparation, and the use of laboratory automation is required. Additional requirements include the ability to develop realistic timelines, good communication skills (both written and oral), and good problem solving skills. Candidates should previously have demonstrated skills in independently determining the objectives of bioanalytical work, planning bioanalytical experiments and evaluating bioanalytical results. Creative laboratory troubleshooting skills are essential to this position. Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of GLP’s and experience working in a regulated laboratory environment is a plus.
