Specialty Pharmaceutical Sales representative

Job Description:

· Demonstrate depth of expertise in the metabolic therapeutic area and in product knowledge
· Promote metabolic product line within the office/hospital/clinic selling environment
· Demonstrated ability to network with other members of team to support achieving business objectives
· Generate relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., doctors, office managers, nurses, hospital staff)
· Cultivate network with key opinion leaders and key thought leaders who can influence the usage of our products in the medical community
· Display comprehensive knowledge of competitors, tactics, and market changes
· Demonstrate understanding of market factors influencing business in the territory including high potential physicians, competitor analysis, and market trends
· Build access to key physicians by understanding their needs and providing them with various value-added programs
· Coordinate and add value to Medical Education Programs
Candidates must complete all fleet safety training and must maintain an acceptable driving record regarding accidents and incidents.

Job Qualifications:

BA/BS from an accredited school required. Focus in business or life science preferred. MBA, and/or a Certified Medical Representative (CMR) certification a plus.
· Sales Professionals with at least 3 years experience in pharmaceuticals and/or medical equipment/ diagnostics required
· Metabolic Sales Professionals with 3+ years experience is a plus
· Experience in a direct selling environment or business to business environment is a plus
· Additional responsibilities taken on during career (e.g., sales training)
· Participation in local professional and patient advocacy affiliations/associations a plus (e.g., Physician Book Chapters)
· Travel within a large territory will be required (routine overnight travel will depend upon territory)
· Ability to pass and complete background check and drug screen a must
· Driving a company car in a safe manner to daily meetings and appointments is required
