The Engineer is responsible for testing all code at the unit and integration levels to ensure software quality. The Engineer also researches and develops new technology and issues patents when possible. Major Ongoing Responsibilities· Performs software verification activities including the review of requirements, design and specification of test cases, preparation and execution of test protocols, and the reporting of test results· Achieves adequate test coverage of product and software requirements; maintains software test cases in the verification database and design test cases for reusability· Reviews and inspects software verification deliverables· Participates in test automation efforts; implements test components and scripts· Participates in the resolution of customer issues that are escalated to R&D· Contributes to quality and process improvement initiatives; leverages and practices software verification industry best practices, follows corporate and department processes and policies and implements processes, tools, and support systems used within the Verification group· Participates in the issuance of patents for inventions· Independently determines and develops approach to solutions; work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy. Experience & Training· Bachelors degree in computer sciences, computer engineering, electrical engineering, bio-engineering, mathematics, or related field· Minimum 6 years experience in software verification preferably in the medical device industry [Other bachelor degrees are acceptable with additional 2 years related experience.]· Expertise in formal software verification methodologies including system, subsystem, integration, and unit test methods· Expertise in testing GUI applications; familiarity with human factors and product usability verification· Expertise in testing embedded systems· Experience in test automation and the development of test harnesses and frameworks· Expertise with Test Management Systems· Understanding of fundamental electronics principles is recommended· Past experience as a software developer or analyst is beneficial· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills· Experience with HP Quality Center or Mercury TestDirector, Business Process Testing (BPT) and Quick Test Pro (QTP) is desirable. Qualified candidates may apply online via our website at http://www.ans-medical.com/careers/ and reference position # ANS1291, ANS1292 or ANS1293.  No agencies or phone calls, please.
