The Senior Space Planner will be responsible for developing facility/space plans, scenarios and designs for the Biologics (BIO) and CNS/IM pharmaceutical franchises to meet occupancy, adjacency and usage needs based upon business requirements and defined strategic facility plans. The focus of this position is the office areas in support the regional Workplace && Site Operations (WSO) customers across NJ and PA. The Senior Facility Planner will be responsible for creating, revising and maintaining facility space plans, scenarios and designs to support the development of strategic facilities plans for WSO regional office facilities across the NJ/PA portfolio. The individual will build and manage robust customer relationships to understand and internalize the detailed business needs required for space planning; customers include all operations across the WSO portfolio. The Senior Facility Planner will lead customer user requirements sessions to determine overall requirements and translate needs into facility scenarios. Craft feasibility studies, scenarios, and block and stack plans; determine long and term technical space demand; responsible for ongoing capacity planning. This individual will translate facility scenarios into capital requirements as an input to the long range, integrated capital planning process (with WSO project delivery). They will lead cross-functional design teams through programming, planning and conceptual design of office facilities; partner with WSO project delivery and A&&E firms to develop B.O.D. documentation and capital appropriation request for projects. This individual will also be responsible for identifying workplace innovation strategies && implement alternative workplace solutions throughout the region for various customer groups as applicable A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably with a major in Architecture, Design, or Engineering. An advanced degree (MBA or MS) is preferred. Must have a minimum of 7 years experience in space planning and facility design. Prior experience in a corporate setting is required. Knowledge of the pharmaceutical business is preferred. Must have the demonstrated ability to craft facility plans. Mastery of programming and design processes is required. Must have proven experience in developing workplace innovation strategies and alternative workplace programs. Knowledge of interior construction and building codes is required. Must be proficient in Autocad. Strong analytical and decision-making skills, a general understanding of engineering systems and processes and knowledge of furniture systems is required. Must be able to demonstrate strength in interdepartmental partnering and teaming. Strong negotiation and influencing skills are required.
