Senior Sourcing Researcher

 

DescriptionThe primary function of the Senior Researcher is to source M.D. and Ph.D. talent for the internal recruiting staff at a top retained search firm specializing in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology research & development arena. This position, at the core, is marketing research in two of the most interesting fields of research - life sciences and talent acquisition.

ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will be responsible for acquiring prospective candidate names and background information, verifying and documenting that information, as well as database maintenance and integrity. You will have a strong understanding of the candidate marketplace and will be extremely web-savvy with well honed Internet and phone research techniques.  To find many of these people, one must have the ability to think outside of the box.  This role will have a key strategic component to it in terms of providing guidance to the company regarding tools and techniques needed to optimize candidate identification, analyzing their value to our recruiting efforts, and making recommendations as to their return-on-investment.  Functionally, you must be able to build and maintain our client and candidate databases by qualifying and extracting information from multiple data sources (corporate/in house databases, web research, trade show lists, professional association lists, etc) in order to provide crisp candidate target lists for our highly focused recruitment efforts.

Job Requirements          

-          5-10 years experience in a similar recruitment or marketing research role

-          A relentless desire to seek out the best candidates

-          Strong analytical and technical skills with a high level of attention to          detail

-          Excellent phone, verbal and written communication skills

-          Outstanding Internet research skills

-          Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (i.e. Encore, Recruitmax, Taleo, Kenexa)

-      Should be well versed in MS Office, Linked-In and other socialnetworking/biographical sites

-          Innovative sourcing methods

-          The ability to research and compile information in a coherent manner

-          Ability to make quick decisions

-          Excellent sense of judgment

-          Strong service orientation and a proactive can do attitude.

-          Flexibility to work with a rigorous and continuously changing workflow

-          Ability to communicate thoughts clearly
