The product line includes bar and liquid cleansers, shampoo, hand cream, body l otion, facial moisturizers, sun protection and cosmetics, as well as other hair and skin care products. Neutrogena Corporation Inc. is seeking a Site Leader, Procurement Operations, located in Los Angeles, CA. This individual will drive improvement of material reliability, customer fulfillment, cost improvements, new product introductions and other department objectives at the Los Angeles plant while abiding by the spirit of the Johnson and Johnson Credo. This individual will interface with internal and external business partners and suppliers associated with assigned materials and services. The Site Leader, Procurement Operations will aid in the development and enhancement of processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to drive efficiencies in providing plant-based Procurement services. This individual will improve systems and processes and leverage technology to reduce costs and identify and implement best practices. This individual will be accountable for identifying appropriate competitive benchmarks and implement approved process changes necessary to achieve targeted performance goals. The Site Leader, Procurement Operations will perform and manage sourcing and negotiations (as necessary or assigned), implementation of agreements, and integration of key suppliers, performance monitoring, and ongoing supplier and contract management for assigned GBU-specific commodities. This individual will facilitate the support of category analysis and assist in redesigns and/or facilitating changes in Procurement Operations through process improvements. The Site Leader, Procurement Operations will own the responsibility as a delivery leader for Procurement Operations for a location or locations, as assigned. This individual will coordinate daily and/or strategic demands, needs, and requirements of the business for materials and services. This individual will identify the needs for the annual planning cycle and participate and/or make requests, when required. This individual will maintain a strong relationship with regional and/or global Sourcing partners and Procurement Operations staff to ensure coordination of global procurement efforts. The Site Leader, Procurement Operations will be responsible for the development and alignment with suppliers and customers on specific performance commitments; recommend appropriate metrics for assigned sites to drive the performance goals. This individual will use knowledge of markets, business, and commodities to advise Sourcing Excellence in Procurement strategies. Additionally, this individual will provide support to Sourcing Managers to ensure commodity strategies are aligned with the overall business strategy. A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required. A Business, Science, Technical, or related degree is preferred. A MBA is highly preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain, manufacturing or similar operations related roles is required. Demonstrated negotiating and pre-negotiation planning experience is required. Experience with Six Sigma/Process Excellence tools, training, and/or certification is preferred. Previous experience working on cross-functional teams is preferred. Strong project management skills are a plus. Experience with MRP, SAP or a similar system is highly desired. CPM Certification is an asset. Experience with Ariba is an asset. Demonstrated knowledge of finance, financial metrics and vendor financial statements is preferred. This position requires that the individual be able to work in Los Angeles, CA and travel up to 15% of the time.
