Candidate will be responsible for engineering improvements in antibody affinity and antibody specificity, and in the development of expressing antibodies in yeast or bacterial systems. Additionally, candidate will work closely with assay development groups to plan strategies for designing an antibody that will meet the intended diagnostic use.QualificationsDemonstrated proficiency in molecular biology using yeast or phage display techniques and related experience including library generation, new vector development and/or new scaffold construction. Candidates with experience generating immune libraries or designing alternate hybridoma fusion techniques is a plus. Candidates must have mammalian cell culture experience in establishing stable cell lines. Candidates must be goal orientated, results driven and an energetic team player to be considered for this excellent opportunity to join an antibody research group. Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or Biochemical Engineering. Preferred Education: Post-doctoral experience.Abbott welcomes and encourages diversity in our workforce.
