Senior  SAP Configurator ( Manufacturing and Production Planning)



 

We seek a strong SAP Product Planning and Manufacturing  Module expert  with excellent configuration experience to be a member of our SAP Center of Excellence team.

 

RequirementsPropose system architecture design considerations addressing application, data and technology in the context of SAP Best Practice.Review core code and high impact customization proposals.  Present recommendation of alternatives to business analysts and developers based on best practices and standard SAP functionality.Work with technical community and business analysts to propose consideration for technical approach, plans, and estimates and cost models for SAP configuration changes.Develop and execute a periodic architecture quality review for SAPProvide specialist level configuration knowledge in designing technical SAP solutions using standard functionality and best practices where applicable. Review and approve technical specifications along with the appropriate resources to complete object development. Analyze, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance SAP system functionality and performance.Assist in identifying and mitigating operational risk associated with technical developmentAssist in strategic planning including implementation of service packs and upgradesDevelop and maintain the IT repository of standard, integrated, re-usable SAP solutionsAnalyze transports into production instance and articulate potential impact for risk consideration by business analyst through cross-module knowledge of SAP.Work with IT Program Management to proactively identify cross-module project implications and interrelationships of new technical development across SAP modules.Document technical development and configuration decisions so that knowledge is retained and decisions are consistent and well communicated.Enable the business by working closely with Business Analyst to ensure business goals are met in a timely fashion and within project timelines.Adhere to SOX standards and processes

Experience / Skills

 B.S. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent required6+ years experience in SAP configuration  Must be ‘hands-on’Expert level in the PP and Manufacturing  modules with good cross-functional SAP knowledge and proficiency in at least 2 SAP functional areas (FICO, SD, MM, PP, SRM, GTS, CRM, etc.) is requiredExperience working on SAP 4.7 or above and WEBAS 6.20.  Strong system analytical, conceptual, and trouble shooting skillsExcellent communication (written and oral) and ability to interact positively with senior managementAbility to articulate and compare alternative approachesAbility to independently propose and implement solutions, based on strongquantitative and analytical skills.5+ years in SAP technical design and systems architecture5+ years SAP ASAP Methodology and at least one other lifecycle methodologyParticipation in 4+ full lifecycle SAP projects/implementationsUnderstanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) preferred
