Research, innovation and new-product development are the focus of the organization. Organize and manage clinical claims studies that substantiate product benefits. Development of new and novel methods that evaluate the performance of contact lens products. Responsible for developing project plans, timelines, and identifying resource requirements and is accountable for overall project success. Interfaces with all necessary organizations (R&&D, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing) and external business partners to achieve project success. Creation of claims memos and communication to internal partners the attributes of products. Performs other duties as assigned by management.Adheres to safety and environmental policy and procedures and supports department safety and environmental objectives. A minimum of an O.D. or higher degree with experience in contact lens research and/or minimum of 2 years clinical experience. Knowledge and understanding of budgeting, and finance and resource planning is preferred. Proven project management skills. Proven leadership skills including motivating, negotiating and providing direction in a Team environment. Global understanding of contact lens business preferred. Knowledge of method validations. Familiar with statistical analysis and designing experiments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Requires complete command of standard and advanced principles, theories, concepts, and techniques in the optometry field. Ability to grasp technical principles quickly. Excellent planning, organization and time management skills. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, and to facilitate and resolve cross-functional activities and issues. Strong computer skills (network and PC). Ability to travel up to 20% Internationally and domestic.
