Universities in North Carolina founded RTI in 1958 as the first scientific organization in and centerpiece of the Research Triangle Park.   Job Description We are currently looking for a candidate with the right combination of skills, experience, abilities, and cultural compatibility to provide leadership in the conduct of pharmacoepidemiologic research.  This individuals will lead teams in the development of proposals and projects, with particular emphasis on  field studies of medication safety, will oversee large-scale data collection initiatives, supervise analyses, author manuscripts, and lead interactions with clients and collaborators.

Responsibilities

Senior Epidemiologist for non-management Director role within the Epidemiology Team:
• Lead teams, conduct retrospective and prospective epidemiologic studies
• Design and write proposals
• Design epidemiology studies, write protocols and analysis plans
• Analyze results
• Write study reports and manuscripts
• Lead interactions with clients

Qualifications

•Demonstrated effective communications (written, verbal and presentation skills) in a cross functional collaborative environment.
• Ability to perform duties that require close attention to detail.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisor, technical staff, and clients.
• Ability to operate in a team environment and be flexible in taking on and performing assignments as necessary.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
.  PhD in Epidemiology or other Health related discipline
• At least 5 years of experience leading pharmaco-epidemiologic research or leading epidemiologic research with a specific therapeutic area
