Senior Product Marketing Manager, Product Safety

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this is an exciting opportunity to manage both the strategic and tactical product marketing efforts for the Phase Forward product safety suite. As the Sr. Product Marketing Manager for Safety you'll be joining an experienced team of marketing professionals driving innovative clinical software products to market. A deep understanding of the life sciences industry will enable you to work best with a confident and energetic sales force targeting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, government and regulatory agencies as well as independent contract and academic research organizations. • Champion products to internal sales/management and external customers, prospects, partners and analysts.
• Work closely with customers to develop market requirements for potential products and drive strategic roadmap.
• Ability to perform market analysis including sizing, growth, trends and industry dynamics.
• Assessment of new opportunities for solutions into existing or new market segments.
• Work effectively with cross functional teams to develop product positioning, value proposition, and other sales tools including datasheets, ROI analysis, customer facing presentations and competitive differentiation.
• Support the global sales force with positioning and messaging, competitive research, campaign development, training and customer support issues as needed.
• Conduct comprehensive and on-time delivery of product launches working with the marketing communications team in producing effective press releases, Webinars and supporting collateral.
• Develop in-depth white papers and solution-oriented case study documentation as required.
• Responsible for working across the organization to deliver comprehensive product offerings including all go-to-market requirements such as product interoperability requirements/matrices, component pricing and overall pricing structure.
• Establish new and maintain existing product related business partnerships, 3rd party licenses and co-marketing programs


• 5-7 years product marketing experience working with Life Sciences solutions geared towards safety and pharmacovigilance
• Energetic and enthusiastic self-starter able to work autonomously, take initiative & follow-up on assigned projects
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Advanced skills in creating Power Point presentations and Excel spreadsheets preferred
• Excellent planning, organization & prioritization skills, with the ability to manage several projects concurrently
• Excellent project management, decision-making skills
• Ability to succeed while balancing diverse points of view and priorities amongst software engineers, marketing and sales professionals

Educational Requirements:
• BS or BA in technical/business marketing - MBA preferred
• Safety and Pharmacovigilance education/experience/training strongly desired
