Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are actively seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer / Senior Mechanical Engineer.  This position will be responsible for the design of electro-mechanical systems for medical instrumentation.

 

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

 

Experience: 10 to 15 years of total industry experience, with 5 + years experience in mechanical design of Medical Instruments or Devices.

 

Required Skill Sets:

 Candidate must have practical hands on experience in the design of subsystems and precision mechanisms incorporating motor and solenoid controls, optical components, heaters, and fluidic components.

 Competency in Solidworks modeling or equivalent Computer Aided Design tool is required.  The candidate must be highly proficient in drawings and drawing standards.

 Knowledge of design with plastics and engineering polymers required.  Thermal and structural analysis and design using analytical tools or FEA is highly desirable. 

 DFX experience (design for manufacturability and reliability) highly desirable.

 Experience in the creation of system requirements documents, failure analysis, testing protocols, experimental design, and test reports are desirable.

 Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a cross-functional teamwork; with strong organizational and communication skills.
