Senior Global Product Manager, Consumables Req. # 63810Position Description The senior global product manager will be the business owner for the Insulin Pump Consumables category, the successful candidate will be a “hands-on” manager, working with a team of 1-2 product marketers to drive sustained growth in the core consumables and pump supplies business. Specific responsibilities to include: Analysis of customer purchase behavior and financial implications, development and execution of product launch plans, creation of marketing programs and campaigns to drive sales for this critical several hundred million dollar global franchise. Position Responsibilities • Leading a multifunctional “core team” with direct line marketing responsibility for developing and implementing a strong consumables business plan including the following: o Defining a 5 year new product strategy o Develop and manage product marketing plans for existing and new products in the US and support overall global product category objectives. o Building and managing a customer life cycle process to build greater loyalty• Create and implement patient based marketing activities to optimize our long term relationship and provide ongoing value to our insulin pump/continuous glucose monitoring customers• Collaborate with US and global colleagues to develop tool and tactics for the field sales force to assure the growth and success of the global diabetes consumables business.• Manage Competitive product analysis, strategies, and supporting tactical programs and messages. • Partner with Marketing Category Director on developing global multi-functional launch plans, coordinating closely with overall marketing organization and global counterparts. • Develop strategies and tactics to identify attract, engage and retain Medtronic diabetes insulin pump and continuous glucose monitoring patients. • Measured on revenue growth and annual operating plan attainment, EBIT, and customer retention. Participate in annual budgeting and strategic planning processes. • Function both as the internal advocate for the product category but also as the primary field contact for product marketing for consumables products.• Manage 1-2 product marketers, including individual development, growing product marketing skill sets and impact. Basic Qualifications EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree requiredJOB EXPERIENCE: 8 years experience in marketing, market development and/or product marketing with an emphasis on product management.SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: Change agent: Demonstrated ability to change patient/consumer behavior in health care segment. Must be a hands-on marketing subject matter expert, focused on results and execution Leadership and management experience in a highly matrixed organization. Experience in strategic development planning including voice of customer processes, new product development, and market research at the consumer level.Proven people management and cross functional leadership experience.Demonstrated ability to work with Field sales / sales management or direct sales experience Desired/Preferred Qualifications BS/BA Degree in Marketing, Engineering, Health Science MBA or advance degree in related area Understand overall Diabetes business strategy & growth objectives preferred Medical device sales experience Demonstrate organizational leadership and enthusiasm to create and maintain an entrepreneurial, high performance environmentStrong patient/consumer experience Solid project management experience Proven experience in achieving results through influence and leadership Strategic and tactical marketing skillsDemonstrated creative problem solving and original thinkingSuperior written and verbal communications skills Physical Job Requirements Must be able to travel 25-50% Domestic & International To Apply: Click Apply Now to route your resume directly to the hiring department.
