Senior Financial Analyst - Large Pharma / Bio Science Corporation

Senior Financial Analyst  - (reports to the Manager of Financial Analysis)



POSITION SUMMARY

Conduct detail and summary analysis to identify, communicate and explain operational variances to executive management at product, departmental, divisional and company levels. Assist in leading annual budget, strategic planning and periodic forecast company wide. Prepare various and hoc financial analysis and research to support management decision making and M&A activities. Use a large ERP type systems (ie - SAP or Oracle etc) and relational database to obtain, prepare and compile information.

 

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES PERFORMED BY THE Sr. FINANCIAL ANALYST

· Prepare profitability analysis by product and by code providing explanation of all significant variances.

· Prepare analysis of operating expenses comparing results to budget, and prior year and provide an explanation of all significant variances.

· Participate in the preparation of the annual operating plan and quarterly forecasts.

· Participate in the development and implementation of the strategic planning process.

· Assist in financial studies regarding projected changes in revenues and expenditures.

· Conduct analysis to improve the operational and financial effectiveness of the company.

· Review costs and perform cost/benefit analysis related to proposed projects/programs.

· Develop financial reports for forecasting/trending/and results analysis.

· Prepare discounted cash flow assessment to support management decision making.

· Responsible for loading and maintaining portions of the proprietary systems database.

 

REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance

· 2-7 years work experience

· Strong Excel and relational database knowledge

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· A Plus: Advanced Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance. Experience in an ERP environment (like SAP) and/or a C.P.A.

 

Compensation is based on experience, but the ideal target range is $62-72k with growth potential for strong performance.  Please send your updated resume to:
