Job Description Senior Financial Analyst Job Summary: The person in this position will complete the implementation of and maintain a Business Intelligence software system for the Process Systems business unit. In addition, they will provide analytical support across the BU’s functional areas. This person will coordinate with the functional leaders to develop customized BI reports tailored to departmental needs. Essential Job Functions: Serve as the project manager for the design and implementation of the Business Intelligence software system. Develop a project plan with specific deadlines and publish the plan with performance updates against the plan. Work with each BU location to thoroughly understand their ERP data and develop the tools to accurately combine data from SAP and non-SAP systems and enable BI to report consolidated data. Document the design of the interface for each location. Maintain a repository of documentation for all aspects of the system design. Thoroughly test and evaluate the system design and functionality as each stage of the project. Tailor and maintain customized desktop designs for individual groups of users to display the most meaningful information to each user upon login. Perform all necessary database management and maintenance. Develop reports to meet the specific need of BU managers and supervisors. Design and deliver training to all users. Training to focus not only on “how to” but on the understanding of the capabilities and limitations of the system. Determine all necessary training required to perform the functions of this position and do what is necessary to receive this training. Provide troubleshooting and assistance to all users, including help with account and passwords. Manage all system upgrades and backups.
