Senior Data Integration Analyst II - BI Reporting

Due to our extended growth, we currently have a need for the following position:The Sr. Data Integration Analyst II will be responsible for providing best practice approaches in the area of management information reporting across the enterprise by leveraging Shire?s BI tools and architecture. The incumbent will provide functional and technical leadership on the use of Shire?s BI tools, especially Business Objects. The incumbent will lead the thinking on value/approach for solution upgrades and optimization of BI tools aligned to improved end-user reporting capabilities. The principal responsibilities of this position include:? Collaborates with IS Business Partners to deliver BI solutions that utilize report creation and delivery as their solution set o Includes standard reporting, structured queries, ad-hoc querying and exception-based reporting ? Evolves the BI reporting framework within Shire by utilizing thought leadership and customer-oriented focus leveraging the BI infrastructure to deliver better solutions faster ? Leverages the BI infrastructure to deliver workplace productivity improvements and business improvement opportunity through operational and management reporting solutions? Lead value analysis, planning and delivery efforts for technical upgrades of existing and future BI tools? Deliver and maintain optimized and compliant BI security models across the enterprise? Significant collaboration with the SLCM Team in transitioning effective post-implementation support needs of approved BI projects.? Management of the BI architecture? Assist in resolving complex end-user issues with BI tools. Significant collaboration with IS Business Partners to successfully plan and execute the BI Reporting and query components of projects. Deliver BO Universe Data Model and security services for approved projects. (40%)Significant collaboration with IS Business Partners and Enterprise Portal COE to identify BI-driven business process improvement opportunities, enabled thru Portal technology. (30%)Propose and deliver enhancements to the BI architecture to maintain an efficient and scaleable platform. (15%) Deliver compliant Business Object security administration services aligned to the overall BI and EDW and Portal security architecture. Expertise in Business Objects product suite Version 6.5 and/or XIR2. ? Implementation of product upgrades and support packs? Strong understanding of ETL processes and solutions. Experience with Informatica preferred.? Hands-on experience with BI product installation, configuration, and migration utilities? Solid understanding of data modeling tools and techniques? Strong technical infrastructure background? Ability to express complex business and financial concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing, across all levels of the Shire organization? Strong results-orientation? Strong analytical, creative, and strategic thinking? Must be able to be flexible, multi-task and work in a fast-paced, high-performing environment?
