Currently, we have a great opportunity for a highly motivated, hands-on professional to work with the Amylin business users and IM analysts, developers, and project managers to support commercial data integration and systems functionality; understand and map new functionality and business processes; and analyze new or changed data for integration.

Specifically, you will:

• Support a dynamic, savvy technical and business team, in a rapidly growing environment
• Manage and support systems used by Amylin’s Commercial areas, including Sales, Marketing, and Medical Affairs
• Work closely with all levels of the business and IM community, ensuring alignment across processes, systems, and data
• Work with the Amylin business users to define business needs and detailed application system and/or data requirements
• Work with system users, developers, suppliers, and other Amylin staff to define and document business processes and system specifications
• Work with users and technical teams to define source-to-target mappings and transformations and the associated metadata
• Communicate system processes in technical and non-technical terms
• Write and debug PL/SQL and other scripts to perform source system and data quality analysis
• Coordinate information flow among project team members
• Work with project teams to develop, customize, and/or configure Amylin commercial systems in accordance with defined system specifications and regulatory requirements
• Document and maintain all procedures and work instructions
• Serve as technical resource for the business, consultants, and in-house technical staff
• Ensure consistent, robust, reliable, and highly available systems and data through documentation, training, periodic testing, and verification
• Assist in recruiting technical consulting staff
• Lead and perform unit and system testing
• Manage commercial systems project teams, project budgets, schedules, and documentation
• Provide input and support to the 3-year commercial application roadmap across the Commercial Operations process platforms


This position requires:

• A BA/BS  in a related field with experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or life science industry
• 3-5+ years IT experience supporting Commercial Operations applications including sales force automation, data warehousing and incentive compensation systems
• Experience with relational databases
• A solid understanding of standard change control policies and procedures and experience working in an IT environment utilizing rigorous change control procedures
• Project management experience
• Excellent customer service, problem solving, and written/verbal communication skills.
