Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Capably applies knowledge of statistics to independently generate tables, listings and graphs of clinical trial data using SAS. Serves as technical lead on projects, interacts with clients on statistical issues, provides guidance to other employees on technical issues, reviews draft statistical plans and reports, and is able to QA/QC TLGs and derived data sets created by other statisticians.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:  Serves as technical lead on projects Provides statistical analysis where standard methods are not appropriate * Independently develops computer programs to generate listings, tables, and graphs using SAS as outlined by a statistical analysis plan  Performs QA of TLGs  Reviews draft statistical analysis plans and provides comments  Generates listings, tables and graphs without a shell to work from  Reviews and writes statistical method sections of protocols and estimations independently Estimates sample size for studies All other projects as assigned Required Skills
EDUCATION/SKILL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Advanced degree (MS or PhD) from accredited college or university, in statistics or closely related field Good communication skills (written and oral) Ability to effectively communicate with others on the project team and in the department; strong interpersonal communication skills Detail oriented, well organized Ability to work on several projects simultaneously  Minimum of seven years experience (or five years plus PhD) in pharmaceutical development and programming with SAS for statistical analysis  Demonstrated knowledge of design of clinical trials and regulatory requirements
