Due to our extended growth, we currently have a need for the following position:Primary Role Lead in cell culture process scale up and process simulation. Design and conduct experiments in cell culture process development for theraputic protein production usning a mammalian cells in shake flasks, wave and stir tank bioreactors. Transfer cell culture process to CMO and in-house manufacturing facility as well as onsite manufacturing support. Prepare data summary and tech transfer package. Present data and update senior management as needed. Responsibilities Lead in cell culture process scale-up and process simulation - 40% Design and conduct experiments to develop and optimize cell culture process - 10% Tech transfer cell culture process to CMO and MFG - 20% On-site support and assist in trouble-shooting of large scale cell culture manufacturing - 10% Conduct data analysis, write study proposal, and prepare tech transfer package and summary report - 20% Shire is committed to providing high quality, competitive, and appropriate health care benefits for employees and their families.Shire is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.Requirements: Education & Experience Requirements Ph.D/MS in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering or related fields Ph.D with 3-6 years or MS with 7-10 years of industry experience related to cell culture process development and cell culture process scale-up in bioreactors.Apply to Shire
