Due to our extended growth, we currently have a need for the following position: Under general direction, plans, directs and coordinates global activities relating to the protection, safeguarding and security of Company assets, executives, employees, guests and others; designs, implements and monitors global security policies, procedures and programs: complies with federal, state, and local legal regulations; and exercises independent judgment in the course of carrying out overall responsibilities; conducts internal/external investigations, assists in termination process, conducts electronic sweeps of corporate sites & public meeting spaces and other duties as required. 10% Supervises global Company security operations, security assets Shire personnel & contract guard services. 15% Directs the domestic and international personnel in identifying, implementing and maintaining security processes across the organization to reduce risk, respond to incidents and limit exposure in all areas of financial, physical and personal risk. 10% Evaluates current procedures and practices relative to Company security and staffing, provides recommendations and implements improvements where appropriate. 5% Develops, implements and manages security training. 10% Performs, arranges and supervises executive protection. 10% Directs the approach, deployment and execution of the most sensitive investigations. 5% Manages Global security budget, prepares periodic budget estimate and reports. 5% Reviews financial reports to ensure security operation efficiency and quality control. 10% Conducts security audits and performs physical surveys of premise security, including security equipment condition. 10% Conducts, supervises, and prepares reports relating to internal investigations of any losses or violations of Company regulations, policies and procedures. 5% Assists in preparation of emergency management and contingency planning. 5% Serves as Company?s liaison with public law enforcement, fire, and other agencies as it relates to security at Company and/or Company personnel. Bachelor?s degree with a major course work in Business Administration, criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security, or a closely related field ? 15 years + minimum relevant full time experience with a major corporation and/or law enforcement intelligence or private sector security organization ? Demonstrates experience and exposure in the international security arena ? Pharmaceutical experience desirable ? CPP, CFE, and other recognized certifications in the security related field are desirable ? Law enforcement experience is desirable ? Principles of security management, including business management practices, personnel practices, administrative practices, security preventative practices, investigatory practices, and related legal responsibilities ? Principles of supervision, including assigning, evaluating, and modifying work ? Interpersonal communication, verbally and writing ? Effective use of time and resources to accomplish security program operations ? Analyzing and solving a variety of difficult situations and problems ? Ability to work independently ? Delegating responsibility and achieving results through subordinates Incumbent determines the need for internal / external investigations which must be approved by senior management prior to initiating any actions.
