Scientist, Immunoassay Reagents

 

BioScale is a fast-growing biotechnology company developing a next-generation MEMs-based biosensor platform for research and diagnostic applications. We are seeking a highly motivated scientist with experience with immunoassay consumables development to play a role in the rapid commercialization of state-of-the-art technologies for life science applications. The successful candidate will assist in the development of procedures for preparation, QC and release of BioScale’s proprietary consumable reagents and reagents kits.

 

Responsibilities:

 Work within a team to develop protein and antibody reagents (conjugation, microparticle coupling, and/or modification) for demonstration on the Bioscale immunoassay instrument.Develop processes QC vendor reagents that will be used in immunoassays as well as in development of internal reagents. Create SOPs for production and QC of internal reagents for Bioscale specific immunoassays.Design and execute shelf life experiments for components as well as for finished complete immunoassay consumables and test kits.Create specifications for release of quality internal and external reagents and products.Design and development of methods to quantify critical parameters and optimization of product formulations.Assist in transferring product technology to manufacturing including developing manufacturing processes and procedure.

 

Experience requirements:

 BS/MS in biochemistry or molecular biology or a related scientific discipline. 2-5 years of industrial experience in consumable product development or manufacturing.Experience in immunoassay product development and as well as experience in a quality driven (or focused) environment, a must.Prior experience in functionalizing microparticle-based immunoassays desired.Strong oral and written communication skills.
