***THIS JOB IS LOCATED IN WILSON, NORTH CAROLINA***Design, develop and conduct studies to produce robust, bioequivalent, non-infringing formulations. Conduct research to develop methodologies, instrumentation and procedures for medical application, analyzing data and presenting findings. Identify and evaluate critical formulation and processing parameters to develop product portfolios. Follow strict safety procedures when handling toxic materials to avoid contamination. Conduct data analysis and write reports to support patent and registration filings and scientific papers regarding study findings. Lead multiple formulation projects to produce product formulations from prototypes. Selects research methods and provides direction to lower-level Formulation staff. Standardize drug dosages, methods of immunization, and procedures for manufacture of drugs and medicinal compounds. Reviews the work of less-experienced resources and teach principles of medical and laboratory procedures to physicians, resident, students, and technicians. Establishes standard procedures and specifications for new and existing products. Writes and reviews reports and regulatory documents.QualificationsEducation/Experience:Must possess Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics or directly related field & 3 years tech., operational & managerial experience in developing pharmaceutical dosage forms for medical applications.Must have pharmaceutical industry experience with broad understanding of Design, Development & Process Scale-up of solid dosage forms. Experience in preformulation & characterization by DSC, TGA, detectors, Cytofluorimetry, Potentiometry, Conductometry, Gel Electrophoresis, ELISA. Experience in developing and delivery of Lyophilized protein & peptide formulation in soluble films or sustained release Transdermal patches using micoporation, iontophoresis, ultrasound & Micoporation req. Experience with Wilnonlin and basis stats such as ANOVA & DOE.
