Scientist II

Charles River Laboratories, Preclinical Services is the world’s premier, full service, Preclinical Contract Research Organization. We currently have exciting opportunities for Scientist II in our new, state-of-the-art facility in Shrewsbury, MA, just 45 minutes west of Boston.

 

In this role, you will serve as a study director or project scientist directing and executing studies in compliance with GLP regulations as they apply to the conduct of nonclinical research.  You will coordinate all phases of the study planning process with appropriate departments; generate high-quality project plans, protocols, amendments, and reports; and review, interpret, integrate, and present data using the assistance of senior scientific staff as appropriate.  You will also function as contact for the planning and execution of sponsor interaction, including proposal management and study scheduling, conduct and reporting; and assist in the oversight of the laboratory and mentor technical staff in areas such as protocol interpretation, method development and refinement, study-related problem resolution, and technique validation.  The responsibilities of this position may also encompass supervising research or scientific staff.

 

You should have a minimum of 8 to 9 years related experience in the contract research or pharmaceutical industry.  You must also have experience with LC-MS/MS and Bioanalytical Chemistry.

 

A bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent in a scientific related discipline is required.  Related Master's degree (M.S./M.A.) or PhD is preferred.

 

An understanding of regulatory requirements, Testing Facility SOPs, and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) is essential. You must have the ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize work and meet deadlines.
