Position Description:

In-depth knowledge of microbial physiology and metabolism. Experience optimizing product formation and yields. Proficiency in designing and executing experiments and using the results to ascertain the next step. Competent with basic analytical tools / laboratory automation - HPLC, microscopy, plate readers, automated liquid handling, high throughput micro culture systems and fermenter automation and control. Ability to recognize and implement applicable new technologies for process development / monitoring with a vision toward implementing for PAT. Ability to mentor junior staff and guide day-to-day team approach to laboratory operations. Ability to author clear scientific reports, to make concise oral presentations and to interact effectively with colleagues.We are an equal opportunity employer M/F/D/V

Qualifications:

PhD in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Bioengineering and 1 - 5 years experience in an industrial environment. MS in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Bioengineering and 5 - 10 years experience in an industrial setting
