HistoryThe Company was founded in 1984 and in 1986, opened its laboratories at 180 Varick Street in New York City. In its early years, the Company focused on immunology-based diagnostics and infectious disease vaccines. This focus resulted in two FDA approved diagnostics and several vaccine research programs, all of which have been licensed to pharmaceutical companies. During the early nineties, the Company's focus shifted from diagnostics and infectious disease to the development of a pipeline of innovative, biologic compounds in the area of oncology. From this pipeline, three investigational monoclonal antibodies are being evaluated in various stages of clinical development. OperationsImClone Systems operates in two locations - its corporate and scientific headquarters at 180 Varick Street in New York City, which houses the Company's research and executive offices, and its campus in Branchburg, New Jersey. The Branchburg facility is home to the manufacturing, product development, finance, clinical, regulatory and quality assurance and commercial operations departments. This position is responsible for the receipt and handling of all subject samples received into the Clinical Pharmacology department. Included are samples for pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic and immunogenicity analysis. The candidate must be able to work within a team, as well as independently, to track all sample through both on-site and off-site workflows. This position contributes to the goal of the Clinical Pharmacology group, namely to identify an appropriate dose and dosing regimen of ImClone Systems Incorporated therapeutic products.1. Understand, Operate and Maintain the Sample Tracking functions of the Clinical Pharmacology Watson LIM System.2. Receive, log-in and archive all subject samples in Clinical Pharmacology Refrigerators and Freezers.3. Generate periodic reports of received and outstanding samples receipt and other pre programmed reports.4. Perform routine laboratory duties as needed 1. B.S. in Biological Sciences or related discipline2. 0-2 years experience in a clinical research laboratory, biopharmaceutical industry or basic research laboratory preferred.3. Excellent verbal and written skills. Ability to communicate across functional areas (clinical, regulatory and manufacturing).4. Ability to work within a team environment and willingness to contribute to the overall goals of the Clinical Pharmacology group.5. Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (Watson), Laboratory Automation (Biomek) and data analysis software (Winonlin, JMP) desired.6. Ability to understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures7. Ability to work independently.8. Knowledge of biosafety procedures for handling human blood and its components. RESPOND HERE!
